In order to represent the cultic evolutions around the cults of Amun and Ra, several narrative axes will be present in game.

We have seen in the previous diaries the stages of the cult of Ra. First of all with the appearance of the solar temples under the Vth Dynasty. Then the fusion of the cults and clergy of Amun and Ra into one during the Middle Kingdom (which will not be the case in the end). Then the particular link between this clergy and the dynasties of Uaset which will ensure the loyalty of the clergy of Amun-Ra. But gradually, this great power will start to make shadow to the royal power.

This, combined with Egyptian imperialism extending its influence over the whole of Canaan, will lead to the evolution of Egyptian religious practices. And this will be seen in game through events around the rise of the cult of Aten. The particularity of this cult will be that it will gradually replace the cults in Egypt during the events in game.

If you choose to follow this new cult and strengthen it, you will have to reckon with an increasing decrease in the loyalty of the other clergies and a decrease in the Maat. But if you hold on, the cult of Aten will become the dominant cult in Egypt, giving in the process a huge malus to the influence of the clergy, but also with a strong bonus to the loyalty of the clergy of this god.

If the choice is made instead to refuse this new cult, the loyalty of the clergy of Amun-Ra will greatly increase but also their influence. Whatever narrative choice is made, it will be time to deal with the internal management of the Egyptian empire.
